So it’s officially been a week and a day since we’ve been back in the US from Thailand.  I wanted to share these photos before we left but things at work got crazy and trying to pack everything up and get our affairs in order before we left took priority.  So now I feel behind in blogging (more muay thai photos and some sky shots are coming).

Somebody’s Grandmother — Thailand

Riding around the other day after work on a beautiful afternoon, not particularly looking for photos, but I brought my camera anyway.  I’ve seen this woman sitting before; near our house there is a small mountain, you can drive over the mountain, which is kind of a shortcut to another side of town, when you get to the other side there is a small row of little shacks [houses].  There is a young woman cooking, a man repairing motorbikes, and this woman sitting and chatting, and a lot of street dogs.  The last time I saw this woman I didn’t have my camera with me [noob].  I stopped the motorbike and chatted for a minute in Thai (until the short list of things I can say/respond to is spent) and asked her if I could take her picture, Thai people almost always say yes…  She straightened up a bit, and stared right at me.  It was cool, and I’m fairly happy with the way the photo turned out, I’ll go back.
